In1907, Maria Montessori opened her first school for working class children in Rome. In 1942, Pan Am flew the first around-the-world flight. In 1952, “Peanuts” debuted in Sunday papers. In 1994, Nancy Kerrigan was clubbed in Detroit. In 1999, the 106th US Congress opened and the first agenda item was the impeachment proceedings of President Clinton. (Ah, impeachment . . . ) In 2001, Congress declared George W. Bush winner of 2000 elections (ah, the good old days).
